Since its beginning in 2015, “Physical Therapy Day of Service” (PT Day of Service) has been an opportunity for physical therapy students, clinicians, and staff to engage in the community and give back.
Service projects for PTDOS often involve promoting health and sustainability efforts. This year, I am very excited to be joining the farmers at Aluma Farm in Atlanta, GA to help out on their 3.8 acre urban farm and learn more about their efforts to support the health of their community through sustainable farming practices.
If you are in the Atlanta area, please join us on October 9th, 2021 for an afternoon (1-3pm) of farming work and a farm tour to follow!
