Due to the fact that many gyms are closed with the social distancing restrictions from COVID-19, it is anticipated (and I’ve noticed this myself!) that more people are turning to ways to be active that require minimal equipment. An obvious activity that fits this description is: RUNNING! While it is great that more people are becoming active in this way, beginning any new fitness activity carries with it the risk of injury if thought is not put into your training progressions.
I recently gave a Webinar talk with a discussion of common running injuries and some tips on progressing training volume as well as strength and mobility exercises for runners.
Check out the video recording of the webinar here: “RUNNING DURING COVID-19: HOW TO STAY HEALTHY & INJURY FREE”
Happy running everyone!
